In the latest NAR release of April 2012 data, the National Association of REALTORS, has shown the highest gain in home prices in 6 years, a key indicator that home prices are on the mend in most markets and that the housing market has already begun to recover. Median prices of existing homes are up, distressed homes (foreclosures and short sales) are down, and the number of homes sold is up as well. This is great news for sellers, and with low inventories of existing homes for sale, the time is right for sellers that have been waiting for a recovery to now list their home.
